Because we cannot see what the AI is thinking, Pachocki clearly stated that no company is ready to keep building these models at full speed safely.

Because Astra is so good at hacking, OpenAI only let trusted security experts use it at first.

Regular paying customers were blocked, causing a lot of anger. This forced OpenAI CEO Sam Altman to apologize.

These ideas have divided tech leaders. Sam Altman shared Pachocki’s essay online, calling it an “important post.”

This shows Altman might be changing his mind, as he used to disagree with slowing down AI.
